Lovely staff. Lovely food - we had the mango and passion fruit cake - mmmmm! And the Iced Caramel Lattes were the perfect thing for a hot Thursday afternoon! Oh - the staff were lovely by the way! Thank you Ori Caffe!! Xx

Highly recommend this cute place to stop during your shopping trip for light lunch, cakes & barrister made drinks! The staff are super friendly, especially Rhiannon & Julia! They always remember my order which makes the experience really personal! I love that they chance the selection of cakes on a weekly basis & they have a great selection of gluten free cakes too! Also my daughter’s favourite place to go for sourdough toast!!

I live and work in Reading town centre and frequent a lot of cafes but there are only two that I keep going back to and Ori cafe is one of them. If I could I'd visit every day but my purse strings won't allow that. It's very clean, has a pleasant atmosphere and the tables aren't on top of eachother. There are comfortable sofas and low coffee tables too. It has a lovely view over the churchyard and entrance to The Oracle shopping centre and in the summer time it's beautiful to look out of the large windows. The staff work very hard to clear the tables so you hardly ever go to a table where used cups and dishes are left sitting as in some cafes which I personally don't like. One thing that stands out to me is that the manager works very hard to make sure the staff are on top of everything and she also clears tables and serves customers herself. I can see that the staff are happy and smiling and that makes all the difference to a good customer service. It also helps that you get a loyalty card and at times a percentage off of food with John Lewis. I never visit The Place to Eat as it's like a school canteen and as for the self serve drinks which they have tried to emulate as in Selfridges, well in my opinion it doesn't work and the drinks are awful. I've only given a couple of stars for food as nothing appeals to me except the cakes. Sometimes I just want a tasty sausage roll or a well cooked sausage in a roll or a bacon sandwich or a toastie. The cappuccino is a good size and I've never had a bad one. I don't think the food would appeal to my granddaughters and I wouldn't want them just to go there for cakes each time.

Only recently discovered Ori and we will definitely be back. The coffee was superb, superior to that served in The Place to Eat upstairs. We had fruit scones which were delicious; we found out they were Panettone scones. These are changed occasionally and we will be trying other blends for sure. The service was impeccable, the food offering varied and imaginative, there were lots of tables, all clean and tidy. The spaces between tables were big enough that my wife was able to easily navigate the cafe in her electric wheelchair. All in all a very enjoyable visit.
